Within 2 raid weekends, our small clan of 17 has acquired MORE capital gold than what Judo Sloth has acquired by spending $1000. He even comments in his video how little he received for the money he spent. Just because one CAN spend alot of money on a silly mobile game doesn't mean one should.
The argument that "they should be paid for their work" is more than a stretch. FAR better games have received far less money because they were not designed to squeeze out every dime through playing upon human weakness, frustration and impatience. They were priced for the work that was put into them. Not saying that free-to-play was a bad idea, just saying that defending these people as though they were some poor, misunderstood, defenceless hacks barely struggling to eek out a living is ridiculous.
Certainly people should be paid for their work, but customers should at least get a product worth the money they spend.
