I am in a "rushed clan" where at least 90% of our players are rushed, some very badly. But we have not really came across any downsides to it. We rush our bases on purpose.
First of all in clan wars, I don't know how the system works but more often then not it matches us with other rushed opponents. So even being rushed but having a few high leveled armies we are still able to war and 3 star our opponents and have a good war log.
Another reason being rushed is great is you get so much loot from your opponents in multi-player battles. You are low in trophies and constantly get matched against horrible or dead bases with full collectors and it's not hard to find bases with 1 million or more loot.
I find it more fun just rushing and unlocking stuff and then leveling up the stuff that matters most to you rather then spending forever maxing every single thing. Who is with us?
