First of all, all calculations below are based on my current trophy range (3000), so please have this in mind. This yields a 270,000 gold and elixir as a bonus for 9 stars. I'm writing this on mobile, so I hope formatting doesn't show up weird.
Let's imagine a perfect world where you get the same amount of stars on every single attack, see the different scenarios below:
A) 1 star (9 attacks for bonus): (7,500*9) + 270,000 : 337,500 gold;
B) 2 stars (5 attacks for bonus): (19,000 * 5) + 270,000: 365,000 gold;
C) 3 stars (4 attacks for bonus): (29,500 * 4) + 270,000: 388,000 gold;
D) 4 stars (3 attacks for bonus): (32,500 * 3) + 270,000: 367,500
E) 5 stars (2 attacks for bonus): (37,500 * 2) + 270,000: 345,000 gold;
F) 6 stars (2 attacks for bonus): (46,000*2) + 270,000: 319,000 gold;
You can see that the 3-star range is the best one to farm. Even the difference between 2 stars and 4 stars is meaningless. Even 1 starring every single attack yields more gold than having two perfect attacks.
I know this is not the case, attacks will be different and the amount of stars you earn will vary. But being able to reach stage 2 and earning less loot in the overall picture with the daily bonus, it feels weird and something that should be looked at.
You can attack after your daily bonus and continue to earn loot, then the individual loots will make a difference. But for the daily bonus, just 1/2 stars should be enough for you to be efficient.
EDIT: formatting
