What should I do about a clan that never types in chat but still plays the game?

The new members join and see no one's chatted in my clan for like 8 to 10 hours and they think it's dead. Spite us maxing clan games everytime. We've had 7 people online at once. And not a single word said. I try my best to keep a conversation going in my clan, but I feel like they can't just have a conversation on their own without me being in it. What should I do?
