A couple ideas I have for fixing the space problem

Right now buildings are being merged (like the barracks) and defenses are being compressed (like the weaponized th and the battle builders). For those who didn't figure out why, they're doing this to fix the 100 building "cap", which would break percentages if it was overrun.

This causes a major problem in earlier bases: the lack of buildings. Imagine a TH8 with a single gold mine, elixir collector, barrack, army camp etc. It wouldn't be as fun as TH8s are right now.

I'd fix this problem with the concept of MERGING BUILDINGS . It works like this:

  • you start with few buildings of a same "tower" (mines, army camps, maybe even cannons) so earlier town halls don't suffer from lack of buildingd
  • over time, you'll get more of them like you do right now
  • once you reach a certain town hall, you can merge a limited number of them. This means in the later town halls, there will be a harder time overrunning the 100 building cap

To incentivize the player merging building, I'd make the merged building a little stronger (but this small buff isn't necessary considering merging would be obbligatory anyway)

Another small thing I'd do to compress the defenses would be a "building altar". It is not a building but it can be placed on top of one to make it stronger (adds a non-percentage based amount of hp and dps). To make it even more strategic, you might as well decide which stats to increase: both of them or one of them in higher quantity.
