Based on a gem value approach I don’t think that £6.99 is a fair price, especially for maxed players where most of the other perks besides the 1 gem dono, training time and free skin are irrelevant.
Previously the GP was £4.99, which is the same price for 500 gems and all the items and books when sold in game form the previous pass added up to 500 gems which I think is a fair way to value the gold pass.
This meant that even if you were a maxed player across all 3 areas of the game (main village, builder base and capital peak) you were getting fair value in terms of gems.
Now, however, the items and books add up to 575 gems for a £6.99 pass which, when using £4.99 for 500 gem rate at 1p per gem, is 124 gems less for £1.24 more.
The price of gems didn’t increase so, from a gem value approach, I think the price of the GP should have increased proportionately to its value in gems.
Why even buy the pass as a maxed player? I think the main reason is the 1 gem donation and not as many for the free skin and while the faster training time is nice it’s not massive.
I realise this isn’t a lot of money but I think it is unnecessarily overpriced especially where maxed players are concerned as I realise for non maxed players the perks are great value. Like would you pay £5 for an apple? £5 is not a lot of money but for an apple…
I just think it’s bad that maxed players would have to pay this much extra for the 1 gem donation, faster training time and free skin with a 125 lower gem value.
I think they should consider the following: - Add more gem value to match the previous pass. - Lower the price to £5.75 to match the gem value as 1p per gem like the previous pass. - Make it possible to get the 1 gem donation separately. - Make some other kind of change to make it worth it.
