So I thought of this idea, because in general my clan is struggling to find new players to join. Often it seems to be on a friend of a friend basis but I think we've exhausted that.
My idea is to have some kind of 'Hire Mercenary/Player' feature. Where you can choose to spend gems and/or resources to bring people into your clan.
This obviously would raise a couple of issues which I did think about solutions/ideas for -
- People joining, taking the loot and leaving. For this I think there should be some kind of conditions attached to the signing fee - i.e.
- Can't miss an attack in War or reductions in fee?
- Certain objectives that must be completed like max clan games, use all CWL attacks, donation threshold to be met? (Just some ideas for options, could be way more?)
- Must stay in the clan for a certain amount of time?
- That last point leads me to - People clan hopping
So I feel that a great thing is people sticking in clans, this would create more movement between clans, so maybe some kind of max limit to how many contracts can be taken. 3 a year max? What would be awesome is if this feature created a way that people find clans that they end up loving, and then stay there after the contract period. Anyone have any ideas of how this may be achieved?
- Payment to player received either at end of contract or pro rata or as conditions are met?
This would be so that people can't join and rob loot and then just move onto the next one. I think flexibility in what you want to offer people as a reward for joining should be there though
- Only Leaders/Co's to use this feature?
Maybe extended to Co Leaders? This would be an exciting new feature and a reason to get promoted in a clan/make a Co Leader more valuable to the clan in spending their loot to bring in talent.
Really looking forward to what some of you have to say about these ideas! Hopefully lots of people think it's a great idea. There may be plenty that needs ironing out, but I don't see why it couldn't be successful with the correct parameters!
