I feel like merging the barracks is just a temporary solution to the problem of adding more building each town hall and was curious what potential long term solutions could be.
For example, I feel like a cool idea would be allowing the player to pick which buildings they have in their village layout. This would need some playing around with obviously and some buildings would need to “weigh” more/less than others (similar to troop space) so buildings like cannon aren’t just always ignored for inferno tower. However, as a rough idea I think it would be cool if the farming bases were set up with less defenses and more resource collectors while someone that’s trophy pushing would have more defenses at the expense of less resources for example. A little late for this now but I also like the idea of players that aren’t attacking as frequently could have less barracks but more defenses at the sacrifice of training time. Could make for cool/unique base designs and ways to play while solving the issue of too many buildings but would definitely require a lot of thought to flesh out.
