Builder's Base Upgrades Shouldn't Disable Defenses

Since SuperCell has obviously implemented the capability for buildings to remain active during their upgrade times (e.g. barracks), I think they should allow defenses in the builder's base to stay active at their non-upgraded level for the duration of their upgrade. Seeing as how attacking/defending is the only way to get any significant amount of resources for the base, most upgrades start taking many days very early on (and each day after 2 days of inactivity is lost loot), and the number of absolutely critical buildings is high when compared to the main base (e.g., multi mortar, air bombs, roaster, etc.) it is apparent that every defense is the difference between a win and a loss.

The logic is fairly simple, and is virtually free of exploitation as well. You simply keep the last level of your building until the upgrade is finished. I could even see this boosting gem purchases in that base, as people will be able to interact with it more, and want to finish upgrades faster because they will have more resources to spend.
